The Beulah Rucker Museum and WBCX Radio Present African-American Achievers of Hall County Georgia

RADIO SERIES TO AIR DURING BLACK HISTORY MONTH

The Beulah Rucker Museum and WBCX Radio 89.1 will air African-American Achievers of Hall County, paying tribute to African-American Hall County Achievers, past and present who made Gainesville and Hall County the success it is today.

The series of 28 daily radio vignettes, produced by the BRM, will air a minimum of five (5) times daily on Brenau University’s WBCX Radio in the month of February at five minutes past the hours of 9 am, 12 noon, 3 pm, 6 pm and 9 pm. The series recognize the works, achievements and individual histories of Gainesville and Hall County African-American business people, medical personnel, educators, and others who were instrumental in the success and progress of Hall County’s African-American community. The research was done by Ella Jean Wilmont Smith and Linda Rucker Hutchens, authors of the book, “Black America Series: Hall County Georgia.” The Times, the daily newspaperof Gainesville Georgia and also instrumental in the research, is also featuring the series daily on it’s web site at http://www.gainesvilletimes.com/achievers.
