LOS ANGELES-AEG Live confirmed today that Leonard Cohen’s current world tour will be extended with four North American performances at intimate, 3,000-capacity venues before coming to a close in December. A return to the studio is planned by Mr. Cohen in 2011, making these shows the final dates scheduled for some time. The December shows wrap one of the most successful returns to the stage by any solo artist and bring the total number of performances by Mr. Cohen to 250 since February 2009.

An extended pre-sale window for fans will be available beginning September 7th at 10:00 AM and extending through September 24th at 10:00 PM at www.LeonardCohenFiles.com. Public on-sale begins September 25 at 10:00 AM. Helpful travel tips and pertinent local information will also be available on the site to assist fans in making plans to attend.

Around the world, all of Leonard Cohen’s magnificent three-hour performances have received overwhelming ovations night after night. As the London Daily Telegraph plainly stated, it is “an extraordinary night of music.” The vast list of music critics in unanimous agreement continues in kind, with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch calling the show “an absolute stunner” and the Las Vegas Sun praising “his songs of love, loss and longing serving as soundtrack to some sort of spiritual celebration.” Nashville Scene declared that Cohen was “stylish, energetic and sharp,” while the Las Vegas Review Journal described the concert as “a joyous, spirited occasion…the rapturous, near-capacity crowd responded as if he were serenading each and every one of them individually.”
