NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The third annual Germantown Street Festival, a complement to the city’s longstanding Oktoberfest tradition, has 21 acts slated to perform free concerts on three stages between 8:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9. The Gary Force Acura Stage, the Lightning 100 Acoustic Stage and the Jazz in the Shade Stage Produced by the Nashville Jazz Workshop showcase multi-genre performances by artists who together claim Nashville’s Music City USA moniker.
The Gary Force Acura Stage has five acts offering performances. Artists include much lauded country singer-songwriter, Eric Paslay; Big Machine recording artists with a unique country and bluegrass sound, Edens Edge; Grammy award winners and the most selling gospel quartet of all time, Mighty Clouds of Joy; three of the most sought after studio artists and musicians, Small Time Rock Stars; and The Long Players, a collective that features some of Nashville’s greatest players and vocalists performing a faithful front-to-back rendition of The Beatles’ “Rubber Soul”.
In addition to the Gary Force Acura Stage, the Lightning 100 Acoustic Stage offers acoustic performances by 11 local artists. The Jazz in the Shade Stage Produced by the Nashville Jazz Workshop highlights the Germantown-based nonprofit and its work to maintain the tradition of excellence in jazz performance.
