David Allan Coe Releases First New Single in 25 Years

Country outlaw David Allan Coe has released a new single, “Single Father”, his first radio single in nearly 25 years, from his upcoming new album release, Free My Mind, his first album of previously un-released music since his 2006 Rebel Meets Rebel rock/metal collaboration with the late “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott of Pantera fame.

“Single Father” was co-written with Kid Rock and was on Kid Rock’s platinum-selling Kid Rock album and has been previously released on a couple of Coe’s live projects.

The new album, due out in January, will also feature live performances of two other Kid Rock co-writes, “Free My Mind” and “59 Cadillac 57 Chevrolet”, in addition to 16 other new songs written by Coe.

Coe was an outlaw country act before Waylon and Willie and is a legendary songwriter/artist having had monster hits as a writer with “Take This Job And Shove It”, and Tanya Tucker’s number 1, “Would You Lay With me In A Field Of Stone”. He also had his own Top 10 hits as an artist with “You Never Even Called Me By My Name”, “The Ride”, and “Mona Lisa Lost Her Smile”.

Coe is releasing his project to radio exclusively through AirPlay Direct. If you are a member, simply login and download this new track along with the other two available Coe/Kid Rock songs. If not, you can register for free at this link – http://airplaydirect.com/station/register.php.

Warning: the other two tracks have lyric content which may be mildly offensive to some of your listeners.

We would appreciate you adding DAC’s new single to your playlists.

Thank you,
