The Black Raven Band 2010 Los Angeles Music Awards Winner!

The BlackRaven Band will be presented with the 2010 Producers Choice “Spiritual Artist of the Year” and will be performing at the 2010 Los Angeles Music Awards!

Don’t miss The BlackRaven Band at 7:30pm on the Red Carpet Stage, as they will give an unforgettable performance.

Contemporary indigenous flute artist Daniel Hicks takes the unique sound of the Native American flute in imaginative new directions, with highly personal flute styles which have earned him international demand, acclaim and awards, including the 2009 Phoenix Music Awards “Instrumental Artist of the Year”, and for his featured work with Black Raven Band’s debut release, “First Flight” earned the 2009 Los Angeles Music Awards “Instrumental Album of the Year”, 2009 West Coast American Indian Music Awards “Traditional Instruments” award.

Now together with the new line up which includes Gonzo Sandoval (Percussion and Vocals), Phil Sandoval (Guitars) (both Sandoval brothers are from the legendary Pasadena rock band Armored Saint), and Jon Saxon (Percussion). BlackRaven are working on finishing their next album entitled “Native Knight”, due out by Dec. 2010.

Performing with The BlackRaven Band as special guest, Jim Maropoulos also will be presented with the 2010 Producers Choice “Spiritual Artist of the Year”!
Jim is currently performing with Generations Band in Yuma, Arizona for Generations Church.
