This marks the second consecutive year James has taken home a win at the longest-running independent music awards show of its kind. Last year she captured “Country Album of the Year” honors for her critically-acclaimed CD TEQUILA TIME (Highway One Records).

“Winning the LAMA Award for the second year in a row is such a wonderful reaffirmation that what I am doing matters,” says James. “Winning ‘Songwriter of the Year’ makes me feel doubly glad, not just to make a difference as a performer, but that what I write is seen as worthwhile.”

Natasha’s recording of “Hotel Christmas” has been released to radio and is included on the new CD, WHP Christmas Songs Volume 5 (info: http://www.AirPlayDirect.com/whpchristmassongsvol5).

James’ most recent CD, TEQUILA TIME, was touted by respected international publication MUSIC CONNECTION as “Country steeped in Blues and Tex-Mex.” Both her TEQUILA TIME and BAD JUDGEMENTS albums are currently being played on the air in Japan, The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, England, France, Spain, Italy, Australia, and more. MUSIC NEWS NASHVILLE calls “If You Think This Is Love” a “downright Bonnie Raitt blues-y performance…one of (James’) best. The song is “a twangy hip shaker guaranteed to grab you by your feet and throw you in a dancing mood.”

James is a Featured Guest and performs live on Actors E Chat in Hollywood, Calif. on Thursday, November 18 at 10 a.m. (log on to watch, listen and chat live: http://www.actorsentertainment.com). The popular web-based program interviews some of today’s best and brightest entertainers from both the worlds of music and film making. In her judging capacity, James “will be looking for the next great American song! and working with some of the selected new songwriters,” says Executive Producer, Dennis Gelbaum. http://fallinlovewithamericaagain.blogspot.com/.
