Los Angeles– The music industry gathered at the world famous Paramount Studios Theatre in Hollywood for the 20th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards last week where rising star Justin Foutz claimed his award as “Country Music Artist Of the Year”.
It is no surprise that this young singer songwriter was quite overwhelmed by the realization of his latest musical achievement when joined on the Red Carpet, bursting with worldwide media, by some of the biggest names in the world of entertainment including Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame music producer Eddie Kramer; Golden Globe Award-Winning actress Sally Kirkland and Grammy-winning musicians Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw.
Born June 29, 1984 in the Midwest town of Indianapolis, Foutz grew up in the much-smaller enclave of Brownsburg, Indiana. At the age of 10 Foutz got to perform with John Mellencamp’s band and play a huge Woodstock-type event, thanks to his mom who was then working as a housekeeper for Indianapolis Colt’s owner Jim Irsay.
“Thinking back it really was just unimaginable getting on stage to play my guitar with a superstars band at 10 years old in front of 5000 people, let alone being asked to kick it off!”
Destined to pursue his dream as a performing Country artist, Foutz moved to Nashville the ‘home of country music’ and began recording some of his favored original songs.
“One day I got the chance to meet Keith Urban at Blackbird Studios where he was recording his new record and we were working on mixes,” recalls Justin. “I wrote a lot of tunes with my friend Jeremiah Bivins, who currently plays drums for Capital Records recording artist Troy Olsen. I also managed to record a couple tracks at Ronnie Milsap’s studio on Music Row and made some demos at RCA Records in Nashville, where Elvis and countless others have recorded.”
The bug for success had set in as Foutz relocated to the City of Angels tofulfill his ambition and talent in the music industry. Since moving to Los Angeles, Foutz has been spotted on various Hollywood Red Carpets and performing to some of the cities highly acclaimed influential community and press including accompanying country singer/actress Michelle Murray’s during the launch of her authentic vodka brand “Taylor Street Vodka” and performing before music legend Englebert Humperdinck at this years “18th Annual American Society of Young Musicians” and is set to play at a Breast Cancer Benefit at The Kodak Center in Hollywood on Wednesday, December 8th.
The roller coaster ride is just beginning for this young Indiana musician as Foutz’s newly appointed management team Rodney Anderson and Liz Rodriguez have hooked up with an award-winning record producer in Los Angeles.
“It feels like a dream, I have worked so hard with my song writing and performances that finally all my hard work is being recognized,” says Foutz. “I am looking forward to sharing my music with friends and family back home in Indiana and to the world”
A busy new year ahead for Foutz and his dynamic team who are dedicating their time to producing a chart-topping album, confirming their headlining sponsors along with branding and merchandising for the extensive 2011 events schedule and record releases.
Foutz’s first single to be released is expected to have its first national radio air play in the spring of 2011 and is promised to be a worldwide hit for this talented award-winning country and rock music artist.
