The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Presents Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction

CLEVELAND (February 27, 2013) – The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum presents Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction, an exclusive exhibition from the “World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band,” will open on Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 24. Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction will be the Museum’s first ever major exhibition capturing the band’s legendary career spanning more than 50 years. It will include personal items and extraordinary collections that have never been seen before by the public. The exhibit will be open until March 2014.

“The Rolling Stones are the epitome of rock and roll,” said Greg Harris, president and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. “This first-ever exhibit gives us an opportunity to tell the story of one of the definitive rock and roll bands. The experience should be on every music fan’s destination list this summer.”



Matt Schofield Scoops British Blues awards

Matt and the band gained three awards in the inaugural BRITISH BLUES AWARDS:

GUITARIST OF THE YEAR; ALBUM OF THE YEAR (for Heads, Tails and Aces) and Jonny Henderson took KEYBOARD PLAYER OF THE YEAR.

The awards were presented Sept 11 at the Newark Blues Festival, where Richard Pavitt of Nugene accepted the awards on behalf of Matt and Jonny.

Top Blues Artists Headline at Newark Blues Festival, September 12

More than 25 national and local blues artists, including four of the UK’s top blues bands, will play at venues across Newark, between Friday 10 and Sunday 12 September.

Four of the UK’s top blues bands complete the line up for the second annual Newark Blues Festival.

Leading UK blues artists Aynsley Lister, Sean Webster, Tipping Point and Virgil and the Accelerators will perform at the festival’s showcase event, Blues at the Castle, in the atmospheric and majestic setting of Newark Castle on Saturday 11 September.

More than 25 national and local blues artists, featuring four of the UK’s leading blues bands, will play at venues across Newark, between Friday 10 and Sunday 12 September.

Nominees Announced for the 2nd Annual British Blues Awards 2010

Nominees have been announced for the 2nd annual British Blues Awards 2010. The voting starts on June 1st and will run until August 31st

The presentations will be held on Sept 11th at The Newark Blues Festival.  The Nottingham Blues Society will be hosting the  British Blues Awards presentation.


Ice Black Birds Return With Their 2nd Single And Announce UK Festival And Live Dates

Following the favorable response from media, industry and music fans to their recently released debut single ‘Ears to the Ground’, Brighton-based blues-influenced indie outfit Ice Black Birds have just signed a record deal with Laissez Faire Club Records to release their follow up single called ‘As Birds We’d Be Fine’ on 7’’ vinyl with the digital version coming out on the band’s own label Ice Black Birds Records via The Playground/The Orchard on the 13th June 2010.
